Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of investigative journalism experience preferred.
- Experience using open records tools (FOIA/CPRA), PACER, LexisNexis, and public databases.
- Must be a strong storyteller with the ability to make the complicated understandable
- Clear, compelling writing style adaptable for multiple platforms.
- Must be able to use all available tools to enhance stories, including AI.
- Digital-first mindset with strong understanding of social platforms and audience engagement.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Calm and confident under pressure, especially in breaking news situations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
