JOB PURPOSE We are looking for an enthusiastic Validation Engineer with 2-4 years' experience to join our growing PHINIA Validation team. This position will support Global and India programs. This is an exciting opportunity to build & enhance knowledge on system validation techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand the Functional Requirements/ Design Requirements and develop Test Cases for System / Integration / Functional testing as per V - Cycle
  • Should be able to perform calibration of the Software for effective testing
  • Optimize powertrain parameters for drivability, fuel economy, and emissions.
  • Manual and automated functional test on simulator bench
  • Test automation using python frameworks would be an added advantage.
  • Test Reporting, Defect Tracking and supportive functions
  • Debugging embedded software on target using test bench/In-circuit emulator

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Engine and Vehicle calibrations is a must.
  • Strong Experience with Engine Management Systems and strategies is required.
  • Good knowledge of Vehicle testing.
  • Good knowledge of C language & MATLAB Simulink Models
  • Knowledge of Automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN & J1939 Protocols
  • Knowledge of test methods and test management
  • Knowledge on UDS, CAPL scripting & Python Scripting
  • Knowledge of automotive ASPICE Standard and ISO 26262 Standard required.
  • Knowledge on configuration management tools like Polarion and Jira.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skill
  • Good experience with Automated Test Equipment framework - HIL simulators (PXI / dSPACE / Opal RT / Vector VT systems) is an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high intercultural social competence.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically and Agile in approach
  • Quick learner and a team player
