Job Details: Starting Pay $21.30-$30.40/hr plus a $2.00 shift premium Shift Hours: Wednesday: 6 PM - 6 AM (Thursday) Thursday: 6 PM - 6 AM (Friday) Friday: 6 PM - 6 AM (Saturday) Saturday: 6 PM - 12 AM (Midnight) This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be able to use basic hand tools. Basic mechanical or maintenance skills, knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing. Able to read & understand assignments, able to communicate orally & in writing, able to hear/respond to two-way radio, able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, able to stand for long periods of time, withstand extreme hot, cold, inclement weather & odors, basic knowledge of math, able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment. May monitor boiler and perform chemical test on boiler. May be required to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems. Must be certified to operate various pieces of gas/hydraulic motors/lifts. Performs duties such as welding, cutting, minor electrical repair, removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water & steam pipes, lines, & systems. Prefer individual be respirator qualified. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Willing to further education by outside training, company testing program & vendor training. Must have at least 6 months of mechanical/maintenance skills in the last 24 months, preferably industrial maintenance listed on application. 6 months continuous employment with one employer in the last 24 months.
