Job Responsibilities: 50%- Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian, i.e. examine patients, order tests, make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and communicate with clients and referring veterinarians, for patients presented to their Specialty Service. 30%- Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian in the emergency duty schedule (evening, weekend and holiday duty on a rotating schedule) with other members of their Specialty Service. 10%- Participate in the clinical and tutorial instruction of Phase II students, including daily student rounds; and other duties as assigned. 10%- Participate in their Specialty Service Journal club, attend all HO Rounds/Seminar (VMED 7001) sessions and other seminars which are requirements of the Intern's home Specialty Service.
