We are seeking a full-time or part-time Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Oncologist to join our collaborative Emergency and Specialty team. Responsibilities include: - Provide comprehensive oncologic care, including diagnostics, staging, treatment planning, and follow-up care. - Perform cytologic evaluations, interpret diagnostic imaging, and develop individualized chemotherapy and rescue protocols. - Diagnose and manage a wide variety of oncologic conditions using evidence-based medicine and current treatment standards. - Collaborate closely with Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency, Radiology, and other specialty services to provide integrated, multidisciplinary patient care. - Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, prognoses, and quality-of-life considerations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with referring veterinarians throughout the region. - Offer palliative care guidance and end-of-life counseling when appropriate, ensuring compassionate support for patients and families. - Contribute to the continued development and growth of the oncology service, including protocols, referral relationships, and patient care initiatives. - Participate in case rounds, continuing education opportunities, mentorship activities, and hospital-wide clinical improvement programs. - Maintain detailed and accurate medical records utilizing EzyVet and Smart Flow.
