Whole Foods Market is seeking a sharp, driven, and analytically minded Sr Program Manager to join our Pricing Strategy team. You will own the evolution of our pricing strategy program - translating pricing science, market dynamics, and business performance data into strategic recommendations that shape how we price for our customers. This is a high-visibility role with real impact from day one. As AI and other macro themes accelerate the pace of our work, you will help define what's next for pricing strategy at Whole Foods Market. You will bridge what our Pricing Science team can provide with what Category Pricing and Merchandising teams need - influencing leaders on pricing rules, guardrails, and strategic direction. You will develop multi-year outlooks, guide tool development, and direct and coach 2 analysts while maintaining hands-on analytical depth. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in retail merchandising and pricing strategy who can operate at both the detail and strategic levels. They extract meaningful insights from complex data, build partnerships across teams, and drive change through influence. They distill complex findings into concise narratives for a range of audiences. Pricing strategy is a strategic priority at Whole Foods Market. You'll have the opportunity to shape how we think about pricing across the business - with the resources, data, and leadership support to make a real difference. Key job responsibilities - Own and evolve the Pricing Strategy program - set multi-year direction, manage team priorities, and deliver end-to-end from analysis through implementation - Bridge Pricing Science, Category Pricing, and Category Merchandising - influence leaders on pricing rules, guardrails, and governance - Partner cross-functionally with Promotions Analytics, Competitive Intelligence, Product, Tech, Business Strategy, and analytics teams; guide tool development and reporting capabilities - Develop pricing frameworks, direct modeling and analytics work, and self-serve data (SQL, R, Python) - Coach and develop 2 analysts on analytical approaches, stakeholder management, and business acumen - Communicate pricing strategy, findings, and multi-year outlooks to senior leadership through clear, concise narratives - Stay current with food, retail, market news, and natural products trends A day in the life You review pricing performance data, then meet with Pricing Science to help refine a new model for category-level recommendations. Mid-morning, you present governance recommendations to Category Pricing and Merchandising leaders. After lunch, you coach an analyst on framing a pricing opportunity analysis for leadership. Later, you connect with a Product partner on tool enhancements and draft a section of your quarterly pricing strategy outlook. You close by fielding a cross-category pricing question from Business Strategy - the kind of cross-business thinking that makes this role distinctive.
