Permanent role based in Auckland or Wellington Central location with a flexible, hybrid working environment 5 weeks annual leave plus 15 wellness days Te tūranga - The role Join the Risk Specialist team within the Financial Stability Group , the team responsible for safeguarding New Zealand's financial system. As an Advis o r, you will draw on your cyber resilience and technology risk subject matter and technical expertise to deliver projects, initiatives and workstreams within the Group. The role also involves contributing to supervisory risk assessments, providing high-quality guidance , coaching colleagues, and contributing thought leadership within your areas of expertis e. In this role you will: Lead and support Group strategy, policy, and supervision initiatives relating to cyber and technology risk management, operational resilience, outsourcing, incident reporting and critical operations , including developing supervisory frameworks by providing specialist advice and challenge . Lead key work programmes, analytical projects , and technical reviews , and support cross-functional initiatives and publications related to cyber and technology risk , including supporting, coaching or guiding colleagues. Provide thought leadership and high-quality analysis on global and domestic developments , cyber threats and emerging vulnerabilities that may affect regulated entities and/or the financial system and contributing to the Reserve Bank 's response to these risks. Maintain cyber incident response protocols in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and lead the Reserve Bank 's response to regulated entity incident reporting . Apply sound judgement to resolve complex issues and build trust with management and key stakeholders. Provide subject matter and technical advice across the Reserve Bank to support capability building and access to timely , high-quality information. Build and maintain constructive relationships across the R eserve Bank , public sector, domestic and international regulators, cyber agencies , central banks and other relevant organisations. Ō pūkenga - About you To be successful in this role you will bring: Experience in regulatory compliance, consulting , cyber security, or information security, with strong technical exp ertise in financial services risk management, operational resilience, cyber res ilience an d/or technology risk. A relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, cyber security, computer science, engineering, risk management, finance, accounting or a related discipline. A t least five years' experience in banking, insurance, financial markets, cyber security, technology risk, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), or a related field . Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, cloud security certifications, GIAC certifications, or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous . Knowledge of financial services regulation and relevant cyber and technology risk frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or equivalent frameworks . Experience leading and delivering statistical, analytical, technology, policy or financial initiatives and workstreams. Strong understanding of global and domestic issues affecting the New Zealand economy, particularly in relation to cyber and technology resilience . Sound judgement, holistic thinking and the ability to provide leadership in a dynamic, open team environment. A collaborative approach that draws on the knowledge of colleagues and stakeholders and contributes constructively to shared outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to technical and non-specialist audiences (including Boards and Executive teams) .
