Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer provide Athletic Health Care to KSC NCAA Athletes in the Athletic Training Room, and while providing practice and game coverage to KSC NCAA Athletic Teams. Collaborate with the Athletic Training Staff, Team physicians, Health Services, assist in the overall service component to Athletics that includes: Prevention, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis, Immediate Care Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning, Organization & Administration and Professional Responsibility. This is a benefited, 85% position, full-time during the annual work period from early August to early June each year. Job Duties: Athletic Health Care As an allied health professional, the position requires providing all aspects of student athlete health care focused on evidenced based medicine to include but not limited to the following: Prevention and Health Promotion (injury, illness) Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis Immediate Care, Acute Emergent Care Therapeutic Intervention to include Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning Organization & Administration to include daily EMR Professional responsibility to include maintaining licensure and certification and being current on athlete health care. Other Duties as Assigned These duties would be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and could include, inventory, CPR instructor for Athletic staff members, online student athletic medical records system super user (Sportsware), etc.
