Novotel Amsterdam City is one of the largest 4-star hotels in the Benelux. We have 610 rooms, 17 meeting rooms, and a large restaurant that can serve up to 350 guests. We offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service. Additionally, we have a cozy bar where our guests can enjoy a drink. During this internship, you will learn a lot about both the operational and non-operational aspects of F&B: Leading the restaurant and bar staff by assigning tasks; Guiding, motivating, and inspiring the team; Providing support on the floor; Assisting guests in a correct and hospitable manner; Financial administration and purchasing; Creating staff schedules; Supporting the F&B Manager with various projects. Who are we looking for? You have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written; You are flexible with your working hours (morning or evening shifts); You have your own transport or live in the Amsterdam area; You are well-presented, communicative, and socially skilled; You are accurate, quality-minded, and capable of overseeing your own and your colleagues' work from a helicopter view; Customer focus, commercial insight, and stress resistance are second nature to you! What do we offer? As an intern, you will receive a gross compensation of €750 per month based on a 38-hour workweek, including thesis time; Provided lunch or dinner during your breaks; Welcome stay (with a +1) including breakfast, dinner and two drinks p.p in our bar; Free use of fitness facilities and parking; Staff discount vouchers for stays at Accor hotels worldwide; An incredibly fun and friendly team!
