About the role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 47th FSS Losano Fitness Center, located at Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas.. This position is considered Regular Full Time RFT. Guaranteed 35 hours a week with potential to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have at least one (1) year of experience in fitness instruction, group exercise, or wellness program support. Experience leading organized physical training sessions is required. Working knowledge of physical fitness principles, including strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, and injury prevention. Ability to lead and motivate diverse groups with varying fitness levels. Strong verbal communication and briefing skills. Ability to develop structured fitness plans and programs. Basic data tracking and reporting skills. Ability to physically demonstrate proper exercise techniques safely and effectively and participate in fitness activities. Maintain a high level of personal fitness consistent with program expectations. Lifeguard experience is desirable.
