About the role
Role Overview The Technical Manager is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and management of enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms. Job Responsibilities: - Design and implement cloud architectures, security controls, and governance frameworks in accordance with enterprise security and compliance standards. - Evaluate and implement new cloud-native services, tools, and deployment models to enhance scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. - Recommend cloud technologies, services, and best practices to improve overall system architecture and business capabilities. - Develop and maintain architecture documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards for AWS and Azure environments. - Lead the implementation of enterprise cloud solutions and enhancements across Day 1 deployment and Day 2 operational activities. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud deployments, migrations, integrations, and production environments. - Drive infrastructure automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud monitoring solutions to improve efficiency and consistency. - Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, security, and costs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization. - Oversee the administration and maintenance of cloud platforms, services, and automation frameworks. - Develop and execute disaster recovery exercises, failover testing, and resilience simulations for mission-critical cloud workloads. - Lead incident response efforts, resolve performance bottlenecks, and provide guidance on cloud operational challenges. Job Requirements: - Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices for enterprise-scale environments. - Proven hands-on experience with AWS and Azure across the full cloud lifecycle, including: o Day 1: Architecture design, deployment, configuration, and migration. o Day 2: Operations, monitoring, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and incident management. - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates. - Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and workflow orchestration is an advantage. - Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud environments; exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, Agile, and DevOps teams. - Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex cloud architecture and operational challenges. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
