About the role
We are seeking a Race Product Development & Technical Associate to join EBC Brakes World HQ in Pineham, Northampton. The role will focus on researching, identifying and developing new automotive and race product opportunities to expand our product range, increase market coverage and support business growth. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive knowledge, excellent attention to detail and a proactive interest in performance or motorsport applications. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify product gaps and define and develop new Automotive / Race product opportunities; Conduct market research, competitor analysis and price benchmarking; Work with internal teams to source development vehicles and coordinate development and testing schedules; Oversee trial fitting, validation, testing, and final product sign-off; Resolve technical enquiries, fitment queries and warranty / customer support matters; Provide technical documentation, instructions, and approve specialist literature. Maintain accurate product data/listings, catalogues Support system setup across departments; Work with race series organisers to secure product inclusion in regulations; Cross-reference competitor products and assess market fit; Provide product supply, technical guidance and support to race teams; Future progression of the role may include maintaining contact with current customers and account management Any other duties as assigned by the Production Manager. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Essential: Automotive parts / brands knowledge and a keen interest in the industry; Strong communication and customer service skills; Attention to detail and organised approach; Ability to work to deadlines Team working skills. Desirable: Microsoft Excel experience, to analyse detailed data. Training can be provided if necessary; Motorsport or performance vehicle knowledge; Experience working with product data, catalogues or fitment information. HOURS OF WORK: Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Friday 08:00-13:00 (30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day). Total 39 hours per week. SALARY: From £35,000 per annum depending on experience
