The Application Support Specialist is responsible for managing the delivery of specialist training and support to end users within the Netcare Group as well as the development of training material in order to achieve these objectives. KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Courseware development Manage and develop course material according to the specification provided Project management Deploy Netcare approved business solutions as required. Ensure that agreed deliverables are met during the different phases of the deployment Conduct configuration and data gathering, data conversion, gap mitigation, training, testing and other project related activities. Management and escalation of system, people and process, gaps and issues as related to the rollout activities. Ensure the appropriate management of vendors involved with the approved business solutions and supporting services. Training coordination and facilitation Communicate information of scheduled courses to line management and users to ensure attendance Sigma support and Training logs to be responded within 4 hours and resolved within 24 hours Oversee the co-ordination of training facilities Co-ordinate assessment results Facilitate knowledge transfer to all users as required Conduct informal training events as required Manage the co-ordination of all logistical requirements of training event Ensure training registers are completed and forwarded to the relevant administrator on the completion of training interventions Ensure all delegates complete the register and training feedback survey in line with current requirements IT Support Co-ordinate IT activities Provide support to Super users and end users in line with system objectives Communicate status/progress and issues to business management, end-users Provide guidance and education to end users during implementation phase of new systems and or/packages/modules including CBI (Continuous Business Improvements) Assist and advise users of system and or procedure changes Assist end users remotely and on site when new Applications/Modules or changes are implemented Provide remote and on-site support "Walk the floor" to get an understanding of the issues, concerns and lessons learnt during the rollout and/or implementation phase of any given implementation/upgrade or change and submit issues raised to the Application Training and Support Manager Prepare activities for "go-live" Collate information as required Assist and liaise with the Helpdesk with regards to I.T. related problems and routine maintenance Liaise with end users and technical staff when problems arise and provide user guidance and support during system changes Reporting Report regularly on progress Pro-Actively highlight issues and milestones that may not be achieved Inherent Requirements Matric Must have an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse qualification 5 - 10 years relevant Netcare business experience in a billing or case management role would be advantages. Above average understanding of CPT and ICD coding, Knowledge of NTBG rules and the application there of. An understanding of the Netcare Patient journey and the various processes and systems related there to.
