Job Description We are looking for a visionary and strategic leader to take overall responsibility for Engineering within Global Workplace Projects (GWP). In this role, you will lead a global engineering organization and play a key role in shaping the future of our factories and workplaces worldwide. Core Responsibilities Global Engineering Leadership Lead and develop a distributed team of engineering leaders and specialists across EMEA, AMS, and APAC. Strengthen engineering capabilities to support global expansion and complex infrastructure projects. Sustainability & Innovation Drive the sustainability agenda within construction, including green building certifications such as LEED. Lead the renewable energy roadmap and advance innovative solutions in areas - HVAC, smart buildings, and energy systems. Engineering Standards & Governance Own and evolve global engineering standards across construction disciplines. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and certification processes. Operational Excellence Lead value engineering across GWP projects to optimize performance, cost, and long-term efficiency. Continuously improve engineering systems in existing factories to enhance energy and operational performance. Strategic Leadership Act as a key member of the GWP Leadership Team, contributing to strategy, priorities, and the continued development of the organization. Play your part in our team succeeding Global Workplace Projects (GWP) is responsible for developing and constructing new production capacity across the LEGO Group, including major capacity expansions, key sustainability initiatives, and other complex global infrastructure projects. Within GWP, the Engineering organization (GWP ED&S) acts as the Owner's technical representative, ensuring strong technical solutions across areas such as supply concepts, MEP - (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), building management systems, and fire safety. The team develops, maintains, and continuously improves global engineering standards that are applied across projects worldwide. The team consists of 30+ engineers and specialists with diverse expertise who support both operations and projects across all LEGO sites globally. Working as an integrated part of global program teams across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas, they lead key technical streams in the design and construction of new factories and major retrofit projects. Together, the team focuses on delivering reliable, efficient, and sustainable engineering solutions, supporting the LEGO Group's ambition of achieving zero-impact operations. Do you have what it takes? Proven leadership experience managing engineering and project organizations in complex environments. Demonstrated success in a similar leadership role within a global organization. Relevant experience within Facility Engineering, Construction, or large-scale infrastructure projects. Strong leadership profile with experience leading multinational and geographically distributed teams. Track record of driving both strategic and operational development, with a focus on innovation, challenging the status quo, and continuously improving performance and results. Ability to navigate and lead effectively in a matrix organization, managing complexity and driving solutions to challenging problems. Excellent partner management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
