To support the supervision and enforcement of EHS/HSSE standards on a highly complex, state-of-the-art semiconductor project, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional. This role demands unquestionable expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to uphold the highest standards in a challenging industrial environment. Contractual home base: Flexible - any Drees & Sommer office in Germany, Belgium or Netherlands Project location: in an EU neighboring country west of Germany (100% on‑site presence required) Full ownership of occupational health and safety (EHS/HSSE) within a highly complex industrial plant project in the semiconductor manufacturing sector Implementation and monitoring of EHS/HSSE policies in line with applicable regulations and international standards Independent identification and management of risks related to environment, health, and safety Establishment of EHS/HSSE management systems for the project in accordance with company guidelines and specific client requirements Support and delivery of training and awareness programs for internal and external stakeholders, including project partners Regular monitoring and reporting of internal and external EHS/HSSE performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives Collaboration with authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve EHS/HSSE objectives Completed training as a technician or master craftsman in construction or building services engineering, or a comparable qualification in occupational safety (e.g. Safety Specialist or Health & Safety Coordinator) Several years of project experience (minimum 3-5 years) on large-scale construction or industrial projects (e.g. plant engineering, life sciences, chemical industry, power plants), as well as familiarity with EPC/EPCM delivery models Experience in conducting Hazid/Hazop analyses and facilitating workshops is an advantage Proven experience in leading and managing internal and external teams, combined with strong assertiveness and excellent communication, motivation, and collaboration skills Fluent English (written and spoken); knowledge of German, Flemish or French is a strong advantage Full flexibility and willingness to travel and work on international construction sites in Germany and Europe Working in a modern workplace and with IT equipment makes it easier to gain initial experience in professional life or for personal development We promote your professional and personal development through individual training and further education at the Drees & Sommer Academy We support your health with private supplementary insurance or a variety of health programmes such as yoga classes or exercise breaks We promote sustainable mobility with a public transport allowance or company car (depending on position) Additional attractive offers with discounts in the corporate benefits portal.
