Processing Machine Operator

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years prior experience as a Processing Machine Operator or a similar position
• Previous ACMPR experience is considered an asset..
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices.
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.).
• Understanding of production procedures.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
• Teamwork and communication skills.
• Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail.
• Working conditions
• May be required to work on weekends and during holidays, from time to time
• This is a physically demanding position which will require the ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 50lbs), standing/crouching/bending for long periods of time throughout each shift
• At BZAM, we provide a competitive salary range that is based on your experience and expertise. The hourly range for this position is $21-$23 per hour.

The Processing Machine Operator will be responsible to prepare and process our post-harvest product through the proper channels. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. A production operator must adhere to safety guidelines and ensure that final products meet high-quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure safe work conditions and practices within the greenhouse and support building by supporting adherence to company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for Good Production Practices (GPP) and GMP. Maintaining the integrity of all assets and operating equipment to ensure on-going safe, reliable operations. Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed). Test operation of machines periodically. Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws. Maintain a safe and clean workspace. Experience in a warehouse or industrial manufacturing. Communicate any issues with management. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
