Trainee Pensions Administrator

About the role

We're looking for a Trainee Pensions Administrator to join Aptia at an exciting time of growth and transformation. You'll work as part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality administration services to members, trustees, and clients. With guidance from experienced colleagues, you'll develop strong technical knowledge and build a solid foundation for a long-term career in pensions. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office and home working.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of pension administration tasks, including leavers, data updates, and setting up benefits into payment
• Respond to member, trustee, and client enquiries (with support and supervision)
• Learn to perform pensions calculations accurately and efficiently
• Deliver work within agreed service levels and timescales
• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and service delivery
• Follow established procedures and contribute to a consistent, high-quality service
• Here's what we're looking for:
• Essential Experience
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above)
• Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with numbers
• Good IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office
• High level of attention to detail and organisation
• Ability to follow processes and work accurately within guidelines
• Previous experience in an administrative role
• Desirable
• Academic background in mathematics or a related subject
