POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Demand Planner is a senior-level role responsible for both executing and developing comprehensive sales and inventory plans at the account level, while also overseeing the strategic flow of inventory from production to shipment at the brand level. This role recommends buy placements and manages receipt flow to ensure supply meets consumer demand while adhering to corporate standards for profitability and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in retail/wholesale buying, planning, or replenishment management, and must be exceedingly well organized, a self-starter, detail oriented, and highly motivated. DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES  Determine style demand and inventory plans based on statistical forecasting inputs and historical trends.  Work with account teams to ensure proper forecasts and parameters are set in the retailer's replenishment systems.  Partner with Sales on pre-season planning for Replenishment, Key Items, and Assortment building at the account level.  Provide Account Executives and Business Planning with monthly replenishment financial projections.  Pull in-stock and WOS data at the style/color level; report business trends to monitor in-season performance and adjust plans as needed.  Meet regularly with Account Executives to discuss in-season issues and opportunities.  Oversee aggregate production needs across each SBU and total division.  Recommend Buy Placements for replenishment items that meet demand while reflecting optimal inventory position and all production requirements.  Review and approve all placements of production orders in collaboration with sales and finance.  Manage the Open to Buy (OTB) plan by working with sales, planning, and finance to oversee flow of goods and review financial forecasts.  Model OTB scenarios for strategic placements as needed.  Provide projections of future needs to the sourcing department by channel of distribution for space planning.  Forecast needs by fabric for total division for strategic pre-positioning of greige materials.  Manage the PLM group buy process including T&A calendars.  Work with operations to review stock levels against warehouse capacity and make recommendations for exceptions.  Track performance of Replenishment Programs by label.  Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed and fulfill other tasks as directed by management. COLLABORATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES  Collaborate with Merchandising and Sales on pre-season planning for Key Items and Assortment building at the brand level.  Work with Supply Chain Planning to ensure optimal stock levels and inventory goals are maintained.  Partner with Sourcing and Supply Chain Planning to review WIP and identify potential supply challenges.  Seek to drive efficiencies across all brands and accounts by reviewing assortments and fabrics in collaboration with the merchandising team.  Work with sales and planning teams to review unsold and aging inventory.  Make recommendations for replenishment goals and objectives in coordination with demand and business planning teams.  Develop strategy with demand planning for digital key items and replenishment assortments. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES  Strong proficiency in retail math and its application to planning and forecasting.  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with planning or replenishment software preferred.  Ability to analyze results and identify financial and merchandise solutions to improve performance.  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.  Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  Team player with a collaborative mindset and a self-starter work ethic. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS  Bachelor's degree or experience equivalency in a related field.  Minimum of 5 years of retail/wholesale planning/buying experience.  Demonstrated ability to analyze results and identify financial and merchandise solutions to improve performance.  Retail math knowledge and understanding.  Ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks independently.  Ability to travel to other company facilities and accounts as needed.
