Responsibilities

  • Assess apprentices against apprenticeship standards (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours) and occupational qualifications

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Essential:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Plant or Service discipline
  • Minimum 4 years' industry experience
  • Assessor qualification (TAQA / A1) or willingness to achieve
  • Experience assessing occupational competence in the workplace
  • Desirable:
  • Apprenticeship or EPA experience
  • Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Understanding of apprenticeship standards and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Ability to challenge and support learners to achieve their potential
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using digital systems (e-portfolio / MIS)
  • Knowledge of ESFA funding rules, Ofsted expectations and safeguarding principles
