YOU WILL BE: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Associate - General Accounting (General Ledger) to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, leading month-end close activities, and supporting reporting and compliance requirements. This position requires strong analytical skills, accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform day-to-day general ledger accounting activities including Cash & Bank entries, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, Intercompany and account reconciliations
  • Oversee and support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations in accordance with internal controls and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Analyze financial data and variances, providing insights and resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, and FP&A to ensure consistent financial data
  • YOU ALSO HAVE:
  • Masters /bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in general ledger or financial accounting roles
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in multinational or shared services environments
  • Exposure to financial reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Power BI)

Requirements

  • Understand business needs when data/case becomes complex during the month and right analysis of the same
  • Ensure consistency in analyzing the real estate accounts, balances and its impact on reconciliation
  • Ensure single source of truth in data
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and On-Shore
  • Simplify and automate processes to increase accuracy and reduce manual modes
  • Work with other team members who are connected to the process to coordinate all process / transactional dots and strengthen the process understanding and process control
  • Be a SME, to make sure there is proper control on the period activity which helps to understand all DR/CR balances
