You Are: A Cloud Platform Architect a senior-level position within the application migration team, responsible for providing strategic direction and technical leadership in cloud adoption and architecture. This role oversees the overall application architecture and deployment across various cloud environments, including public, private, and hybrid clouds. The Cloud Platform Architect develops comprehensive cloud adoption plans, designs robust cloud applications, and establishes effective cloud management and monitoring methods, all within Agile frameworks. The Work: Develop and maintain the overall cloud architecture strategy aligned with business objectives and industry best practices Ensure architectural decisions meet security standards, compliance requirements, and leverage cloud services effectively and efficiently Assess current application portfolios and develop migration strategies, optimizing workload placement and performance in cloud environments Identify opportunities for cloud optimization and innovation, including strategies for managing peak loads, traffic spikes, and multi-cloud utilization when necessary Establish cloud management practices and governance frameworks, incorporating automated scaling, self-healing, disaster recovery solutions, and monitoring strategies for optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency Architect security solutions for cloud environments, including data protection, encryption, access management, and ensuring high availability and scalability of applications Collaborate with business leaders to align cloud strategies with organizational goals, effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences Provide mentorship and guidance to the cloud engineering team, fostering growth Here's What You Need: 5 plus years of experience architecting and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS 5 plus years of experience executing enterprise application or infrastructure migrations with hands-on engineering involvement Experience in Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, etc.) or AWS. Expertise in networking, security, operating systems (Windows/Linux) Experience designing solutions for hybrid cloud or on-premises to Azure connectivity Bonus Points if you have: Experience presenting technical and business value cases to C-Suite or senior leadership stakeholders and/or experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams in a consulting environment Relevant Azure Certifications Familiarity with the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework Eligibility Requirement: Must hold an Active Secret clearance Must be a US Citizen Only (No Dual Citizenship, No Green Card Holder) You must live local to St. Louis, MO (preferred) or willing to travel to St. Louis. #clearancejobs #LI-modernengineering #LI-Onsite As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
