Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Survey work sites and verify measurements against construction drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Procure and requisition necessary materials to support timely construction work
• Prepare and cut materials to specified sizes for furniture assembly, ensuring precision and quality
• Lead and supervise junior carpenters in assembling furniture and performing finishing tasks to meet quality standards
• Direct junior carpenters in installing customized furniture on-site, ensuring proper fit and finish
• Enforce safety protocols and implement precautionary measures to maintain a safe work environment
• Manage project timelines by delegating tasks effectively to junior carpenters and monitoring progress
• Inspect workmanship regularly and address customer complaints promptly to uphold service excellence
• Conduct periodic maintenance and checks on all machines, equipment, and tools to ensure operational readiness
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Completion of GCE 'O' Level or higher
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in comprehensive carpentry construction work
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings accurately
• Proficient in operating carpentry machines and equipment
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a team of junior carpenters
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to liaise with customers professionally
• Possession of a Class 3 Driving License is advantageous
