Pay Range: $24.50 - $31.85 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Overview Performs group psychotherapy using music therapy techniques to facilitate non-verbal and verbal communication. Performs therapy and comprehensive clinical assessments using development of individualized treatment plans for maintaining and promoting stabilization in the adult and geriatric psychiatric population. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Master's degree in music therapy or mental health related field. Experience: One year previous healthcare experience. Other Credentials: AHA BLS. Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period Knowledge and Skills : Uses music to improve patients' emotional-well being and problem-solving skills. Assists patients with developmental and learning disabilities, and age-related conditions. Special Training : Proficient with playing guitar, piano, drums, autoharp and Orff instruments. Excellent singing abilities. Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Communicates, interacts, and plans with representatives of other departments and community agencies to coordinate discharge planning and to provide appropriate after-care services. Participates in unit-based activities and continuing education activities. Participates in performance improvement activities. Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, and agency-sponsored educational sessions.
