QA automation Engineer (Python)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer to join our networking products team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality through a combination of automated and manual testing, with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable test automation frameworks. You will work closely with engineering teams to validate new features, improve existing functionality, and contribute to delivering high-quality networking solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python, Pytest, and Playwright
• Create reliable, scalable, and reusable test scripts for web and API testing
• Collaborate closely with developers to validate new features and improve product quality
• Participate in design and requirement reviews to ensure testability and quality standards
• Perform manual testing when needed to support broader QA coverage
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
• Develop and maintain clear test plans, test cases, and documentation
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and strategies
• Ensure all QA activities follow company and industry best practices and compliance standards
• Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Pytest
• Experience with Playwright (Appium is a plus)
• Solid experience testing REST APIs (e.g., Postman, browser dev tools)
• Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr)
• Ability to write clear, structured, and comprehensive test documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of issue

Requirements

• Experience with VPN products (desktop or mobile)
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, routing)
• Experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
• Exposure to mobile testing and tools like Appium
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly express ideas in meetings and documentation
• A proactive, self-driven engineer with strong attention to detail
• Someone who takes ownership of quality and continuously looks for improvements
• A team player who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
