Join our exciting team as a Data Engineer with the following job scope: Architect and implement data solutions on our large-scale data platform Hadoop using PySpark. Write complex and efficient SQL queries to extract and transform data from various sources. Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow and Kafka. Develop and optimize data processing jobs on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, leveraging services such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. Collaborate with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data products. Ensure data quality and integrity across all systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of our data infrastructure. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the Big Data space. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in a Big Data environment. Proven hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, MapReduce, YARN). Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Strong programming skills in Python, specifically with the PySpark library and Versioning control systems (git). Extensive experience of workflow management tools, particularly Apache Airflow. Basic knowledge of messaging and streaming platforms, especially Apache Kafka. Hands-on experience with ticket systems (JIRA, Azure Devops). Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. Basic skills with business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in an intercultural, agile team. Excellent communication skills in English, German skills are a plus.
