About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of our facilities, equipment, and systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include but are not limited to: Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues. Perform routine maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. CNC machinery/ assembly equipment mechanical and electrical troubleshooting (mills, lathes, presses, custom assembly equipment related to business). Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools. Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Tasks related to machine installation (air, electrical, hydraulic). This could include use of fork trucks and/or high lifts. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Collaborate with other departments and contractors as needed Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Janitorial duties as needed Chemical maintenance on Cleanline. Plumbing repairs, carpentry and general maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Adheres to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to manager. Apply and recommend Lean practices. QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES: Knowledge in the use and maintenance of machines and safety practices. Interpersonal skills to handle different internal personnel and to meet requirements and customer satisfaction. Problem-solving and trouble shooting skills function to determine and solve technical problems arising on a daily basis. Ability to meet deadlines for completion of tasks in a timely manner. KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS: Unplanned/planned downtime Workplace organization (5S) Safety (closing of Near-Misses) OSHA compliance (LOTO, PPE) EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE CREDENTIALS: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
