About the role

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Human Resources Directorate. You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Exercise supervisory, managerial, or senior team lead authority over a team of human resources professionals, including planning and assigning work, mentoring and coaching staff, evaluating performance, and identifying developmental needs. Serve as a technical authority on human resources management programs, specifically in the areas of Performance Management, Work-Life, and Special Programs (i.e. Telework, Reasonable Accommodation, Employee Assistance Program, Flexible Work Schedules, and/or Awards). Analyze and interpret legislative, regulatory, and policy guidance to identify emerging trends, potential problems, and developments affecting HR programs. Plan and evaluate human resources programs by setting strategic short- and long-term goals and monitoring outcomes to recommend improvements to business practices. Provide advisory services, briefings, and technical assistance to managers and supervisors on the application of performance management systems and processes, and other work-life policies/programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
