Responsibilities

  • Follow sanitation checklist and best practices to c omplete regular, thorough cleaning of assigned areas (restrooms, breakrooms , hallways, entrances, locker rooms, offices, laboratory) , and maintain master sanitation schedule
  • Maintain proper inventory by s tock ing cleaning supplies , paper goods , chemicals and cleaning equipment
  • M onitor pest traps and activity on a weekly basis, and p roactively report any signs of infestations t o leadership
  • Monitor and report all product protection issues and maintenance needs as they arise
  • Practice appropriate safety procedures when performing work assignments , and support clean-up in the event of an accident or injury on company property

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Man ufacturing experience, with strong preference for experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • L ift up to 50 pounds ; anything over this weight will require team lifting techniques or the use of mechanical lifting devices
  • W ork in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment 6+ hours per shift
  • S it, stoop, reach above shoulders , climb and work off ladder/stairs , and perform fine manipulation for 3+ hours per shift
  • B end, crouch, and kneel for 6+ hours per shift
  • S tand , walk , perform simple grasping, and push/pull for 8+ hours per shift
  • Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken or written wor d and distinguish object s or equipment visually

The Sanitation Technician perform s essential work , cleaning and sanitizing our non-production areas and other parts of our facilities to ensure safe and edible product is produced consistent with food safety standards.
