Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-7 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-6 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Specialized experience includes: Assisting travelers with TDY (Temporary Duty training) Inputting personnel actions into computer. Developing reports, plan of action, recommending improvements. Monitoring purchase orders, reviewing and validating receipts. Monitor Government Purchase Cardholder accounts. B. Education Substitution: As a general rule, education is not creditable above the GS-5 level for this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Demands Work is primarily of a sedentary nature. Work requires some physical exertion, such as prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Frequently lifts and carries items up to 40 pounds, such as paper and equipment. This level of physical demand occurs when incumbent stocks, retrieves, and distributes items for the organization. May use cart to transport supplies. Work Environment Work is performed in an office type setting where the work area provides adequate light, heat, and ventilation. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions. Incumbent will be required to wear safety clothing and equipment appropriate for the assigned work area.
