About the role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER for the NAS KEY WEST. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Supervising and managing the firefighting operation of the assigned fire company at all emergency situation to which dispatched such as, however not limited to, wild land fires, emergencies of industrial buildings, schools, piers, docks, ships, and aircraft of all sizes and types; until' relieved by a senior officer; 2)Training firefighters in hose evolutions, rescue work, fire inspections, pre-fire planning, forcible entry, salvage and overhaul work, use of breathing apparatus; 3) Performing rescue operations including the administration of first aid. This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, HazMat Technician, HazMat Incident Commander, Driver Operator Pumper, Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I (or First Responder Inspector), and Fire Instructor I, National Registry EMT. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
