Department/Unit: Molecular & Cellular Physiology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00 The Laboratory of Dr. Margarida Barroso has an outstanding job opportunity for a post-doctoral research associate at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology, Albany Medical College, Albany, NY. The candidate will be part of a NIH NCI-funded multidisciplinary research team, including biomedical engineers and cancer researchers, to develop fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) to investigate breast cancer therapy and resistance. The post-doctoral researcher should have strong expertise in the field of cancer research and receptor biology (ex. tumor xenografts, HER2, EGFR), tumor microenvironment and biomechanics, and/or fluorescence microscopy (ex. FRET, FLIM) and small animal imaging (optical imaging). Other requirements: PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bioengineering, Physiology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or equivalent Ability to interact with multidisciplinary team Effective written and oral communication skills Attention to detail and good organizational skills Interested applicants should send their Curriculum Vitae, and a letter of intent describing the motivations to apply for the position to the following emails addresses: barrosm@amc.edu.
