Responsibilities

  • Maintain network interface with Fox Hub/Spoke systems to send and receive local and national programming and commercial content.

  • Proven ability to install, configure, maintain and operate IP based SAN, LAN, or WAN systems.
  • Computer literacy is essential. CAD experience a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced quickly-changing technical environment.
  • Understanding of all pertinent FCC rules and regulations.
  • Cisco certification and SBE certification is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced technical environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of college or technical school majoring in a Broadcast related field
  • IT related field or equivalent broadcast experience.
  • At least 3 years working in a Major Market Broadcast environment or IT environment.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). JOB DESCRIPTION An employee in this classification, provides full-time technical support for all broadcast equipment including, but not limited to, master control on-air equipment such as automation system and on-air servers as well as Broadcast IT systems, transmitters (AM, FM, TV, Microwave, Fiber, satellite, etc.), receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic systems, audio equipment, video systems, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, two-way radios, network switches, servers, IP systems, monitors and display systems.
