About the role

Chevron ENGINE has an exciting opportunity for a Process Monitoring and Optimization Engineer to join the Discipline Engineering team. Reporting to the Process Engineering Lead, this role will be based in Chevron's office in Bengaluru. The Process Monitoring and Optimization Engineer will be a member of the Discipline Engineering team at Chevron ENGINE. This role performs long-term process monitoring and optimization for offshore oil and gas production assets Engineers will work closely with Operations, Projects, Process Engineering, Control System Engineering and Maintenance to deliver work priorities, including proactive plant monitoring, optimization, engineering analysis and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Performs long-term monitoring of Offshore oil and gas production assets to identify operating performance opportunities including unit optimization and integrity operating window (IOW) responses amongst other aspects.
  • Delivers process health and optimization reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and update process monitoring tools.
  • Develop and maintain detailed process simulation models to evaluate designs and operating scenarios effectively.
  • Develop process improvement proposals for project implementation and execution.
  • Provide analytical support for troubleshooting & investigation teams.
  • Required Qualification
  • Experience with upstream technologies: gas dehydration, gas treating (CO2/H2S), vapor recovery, gas/oil/water separation/stabilization, solid removal, and produced water treatment.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B. Tech) in chemical engineering or related field from a recognized (AICTE) university
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with Chevron's global employee workforce

Requirements

  • 10+ years of process engineering experience in upstream process facilities. Possibly through operation support engineering assignments.
  • Experience in performing analytical calculations such as mass transfer, fluid flow, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, process control, kinetics and equipment sizing.
  • Experience in working with process monitoring tools, acquisition from data historians, and process modeling software, such as PI, Seeq, Hysys, etc.
  • Awareness of Process Safety Management concepts and principles such as Process Hazards Analysis, Integrity Operating Windows, etc.
