About the role

STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionising the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments. We're focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems, not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe today. As the IQC Inspector, you are the first line of defense in ensuring the quality of our products. You are responsible for inspecting a wide variety of incoming materials from external manufacturers, including mechanical parts, electronic components, batteries, wire harnesses, and general printed circuit boards (PCBs). With a keen eye for detail, you will verify that all incoming materials comply with strict quality standards and technical specifications before they are released to production. Comprehensive Incoming Inspection: Perform detailed visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming mechanical parts, electronics, batteries, wires, and PCBs using standard measurement and visual inspection tools. Functional & Electrical Validation: Execute standardized test protocols on electronics and batteries using appropriate bench-test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters and custom fixtures). Defect Identification & Isolation: Identify physical, mechanical, or electrical defects and immediately block/quarantine non-conforming materials to prevent them from reaching the production line. Documentation & Reporting: Record inspection results, create and maintain test protocols, and document all non-conformances within our quality management/complaint systems. Root Cause & Corrective Action: Support root-cause analyses and collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams to initiate corrective actions for quality deviations. Standard Compliance: Ensure all processes adhere to internal quality requirements and standard guidelines like ISO 9001 (and perspective EN9100). Technical Review: Review and interpret technical assembly drawings, schematics, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and inspection criteria to ensure strict compliance. Education: Completed technical education, degree, or a comparable qualification. Experience: Proven experience in Quality Assurance or Incoming Quality Control (IQC), ideally within the electronics, automotive, or aerospace industries. Measurement & Testing Skills: Proficiency in executing exact measurements on mechanical parts and performing basic electrical functional tests. Technical Literacy: Ability to accurately follow work instructions, read technical drawings and interpret quality procedures. Attention to Detail: Highly careful, detail-oriented work style with a strong sense of responsibility and visual accuracy. Software Proficiency: Secure handling of MS Office, ERP systems, and standard QM/defect reporting systems. Languages: Good written and spoken English (and German, if applicable to your location). Basic knowledge of advanced QM tools (e.g., Control Plans, FMEA). Experience working with externally manufactured components and supplier inspection processes. Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling requirements.
