We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Precious Metal Origination In this role you will: Drive client coverage, execution and solutions across precious metals spot, financing and derivatives. Identify new business and cross‑selling opportunities and support collaboration with other Markets and Banking teams to deliver integrated client solutions. Collaborate internally with local non‑precious metals sales to generate leads and deepen existing relationships, ensuring coordinated cross‑product coverage. Coordinate client onboarding and documentation, including drafting, and negotiation of derivatives, leasing and clearing documentation. Develop and execute product enhancements by analyzing client needs and market trends to help grow revenue and optimize capital/credit usage. Maintain robust adherence to regulatory, compliance and financial crime risk standards, with particular focus on controls governing physical precious metals activities. Key Accountabilities Drive year‑on‑year revenue growth in Financing, Custody, Clearing and Trading/Flow through pipeline development and trade execution. Build and maintain a high-quality client pipeline, supporting conversion of opportunities into sustainable revenue. Deliver responsive day-to-day client coverage and strong execution support, helping to enhance client satisfaction and franchise penetration. Strengthen internal collaboration across Sales, Trading, Structuring, Banking, Legal, Credit, Compliance and Operations teams Support effective management of onboarding, documentation and post-trade processes to improve client experience and reduce operational friction. Contribute to strategic initiatives that improve platform capability, operational efficiency, a strong control environment and client outcomes. Help reinforce HSBC's external franchise positioning through high-quality client service, market engagement and timely delivery of information. Maintain strong awareness of, and adherence to, FCC and RCC requirements, particularly for physical precious metals, ensuring prompt escalation and remediation of issues. To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Strong academic record with a good University degree and relevant professional experience. 5-10 years' experience in a client facing role in commodities / precious metals or related markets, ideally with exposure to commodity structuring and financing. Strong knowledge of financial products and derivatives, with experience covering corporate and/or institutional clients. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Fluency in English is essential, with other languages advantageous. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders across multiple segments and geographies. Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global institution, manage multiple priorities under pressure, and demonstrate strong attention to detail and risk awareness.
