What You Will Accomplish With Us As an Accounting Technician, you will be at the core of our operations. Your main responsibilities will include: Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, reinsurance statements, and various invoices; Calculate and process bonus payments for group insurance brokers; Participate in month-end and year-end activities and ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day accounting operations; Perform accounting and financial analyses to support results interpretation; Calculate and process commissions paid to group insurance brokers on a quarterly basis; Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, leveraging technologies, and experimenting with artificial intelligence tools; Participate in cross-functional team projects aimed at optimizing processes and ways of working; Gradually develop more advanced financial analyses based on your interests and strengths. What Could Accelerate Your Success in This Role We are looking for someone who: Is recognized for their rigor, organizational skills, and attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced environment; Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to connect information from various sources; Shows autonomy and sound professional judgment; Has strong technical skills, particularly in Excel (intermediate level), and an interest in technology and artificial intelligence tools; Has 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, complex billing, or financial operations (DEC in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent); Demonstrates discretion and integrity when handling confidential information, with sensitivity to compensation-related matters; Has strong proficiency in French (spoken and written), as this role requires communicating, producing documentation, and collaborating primarily in French on a daily basis; Has knowledge of group savings and group insurance (an asset).
