Machinist, PMM

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC / conventional machines (e.g. milling, turning, grinding) to produce parts as per drawings.
• Perform machine setup, tool changes, and basic programming adjustments where required.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions accurately.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure product quality meets required specifications.
• Conduct in-process inspection using measuring tools (e.g. vernier caliper, micrometer).
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report abnormalities to supervisor.
• Maintain proper documentation of production output and quality records.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. Lean, 5S).

Requirements

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in machining environment (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
• Basic knowledge of CNC machining and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Familiar with measuring instruments and quality checks.
• Good discipline, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
• Willing to work on shifts if required.
