  • A minimum of 6 months working in Wage Grade 7 or higher. Relevant & applicable external experience to the position will alternatively be considered.

  • Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner & comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.

  • This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours days
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement

Major aspects may include the high-quality assembly of progressive build steps including short and long block assembly, coupling for 3524 engines, addition of jewelry, and 1X parts. You will be responsible for full-cycle remanufacturing of standard rebuild engines relative to supplied instructions. Based on business needs the successful candidate in this role may start in various steps of the assembly technician progression. Job Description: Assembly of subassembly components including oil pans, water manifolds, fuel rails, filter bases, regulator housings, oil coolers, after coolers, and front and rear housings Assembly of progressive build CAT diesel or natural gas engines For example: one stage of progressive build could be assembly steps including, but not limited to, short block assembly, long block assembly, installation of heads, valve lash adjustment, installation of wiring harness or installation 1X parts on engines
