About the role

The incumbent serves as a Senior Software Engineer within the Office of Information Technology, Executive Office for United States Trustees (EOUST). The position is responsible for leading the design, development, and support of custom applications, web services, cloud-native solutions, and third-party integrations, while ensuring the continued operation and modernization of legacy software systems. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief, Application Services Branch. To qualify for the position of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE), at GS-2210-14, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualification for 2210 series: Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service performing the following: 1) Applying software design concepts and methods in support of new or existing application software using tools such as Microsoft application development concepts, structures, programming syntax, and Service Oriented Architecture; (2) Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other customers on IT software and/or critical issues; (3)Designing user interfaces; translating; and (4) Leading IT project management to include applying principles and methods sufficient to support multi department wide programs and IT disciplines. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by 06/11/2026 of this announcement.
