About the role
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Contact prospective clients to develop and maintain referral sources. Make in-person calls on real estate agents, financial advisors and other potential referral sources to develop borrower leads. Engage in marketing and promotional activities in support of your own sales. Meet monthly minimum personal production goals. Take mortgage loan applications and prepare effective loan proposals: Determine a consumer's needs and offer the appropriate product. Assist applicants and solve problems that may arise between application and settlement. Stay informed of developing trends in the mortgage industry. Attend/assist with scheduled meetings, training sessions and courses . Maintain compliance with all industry-specific federal and state licensed activity requirements and company's Code of Conduct. Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements High-school diploma or equivalent is required. Two (2) year college degree preferred. Must qualify for and obtain state licensure in the states where the company does business. 2-year mortgage origination experience preferred. Valid Driver's License required. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand. Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time. Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls. Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
