Responsibilities

- Support supplier qualification, validation, and engineering change activities for direct materials.
- Participate in materials change control processes to ensure controlled, risk-managed implementation of supplier or material changes, and evaluate supplier process changes to support actions addressing quality, yield, reliability, and cost opportunities.
- Support supplier, customer, internal and quality management system audits as required, and assist in maintaining audit readiness, technical documentation and closure of findings.
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, root cause analysis, Pareto analysis and DOE.
- Use tools such as SAP, JMP, Power BI, or equivalent systems to analyse material performance, track issues and support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and cost reduction across the supply chain.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or manufacturing environments. Experience in backend assembly, packaging, or high-volume production is preferred.
- Strong understanding of material properties, including thermal and mechanical behavior. Knowledge of substrates, integrated heat spreaders (IHS), stiffeners, epoxy, and assembly packaging interactions.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing operations and material interactions with equipment and processes. Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, RCA, CAPA, and DOE.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, develop recommendations, and drive closure.
- Experience with SAP and materials management systems for tracking, traceability, and issue management.
- Proficiency with analytical tools such as JMP, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality and supplier teams. Ability to influence stakeholders through data, technical expertise and collaborative problem solving.
