Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls for cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS) aligned with industry best practices and compliance standards
• Assess cloud environments for vulnerabilities, risks, and misconfigurations; recommend and implement remediation strategies
• Develop and enforce cloud security architecture, policies, standards, and guidance
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and platform teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
• Monitor cloud systems for threats using SIEM, CSPM, and cloud-native security tools
• Lead incident response efforts related to cloud security events and support forensic investigations
• Automate security processes (e.g., infrastructure as code, security testing, compliance checks)
• Stay up to date with emerging threats, cloud technologies, and evolving security best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with strong focus on cloud security
• Hands-on experience securing at least one major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, or AWS); multi-cloud experience preferred
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, identity and access management (IAM), networking, and encryption
• Experience with security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks)
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) and automation tools
• Familiarity with container and Kubernetes security is a plus
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer)
• Preferred Experience
• Experience securing AI/ML workloads, data platforms, or modern application architectures
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and cloud-native security solutions
• Experience with threat modeling and secure software design
