Benefits

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected pay for a qualified candidate is $95,000 - $115,000.Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center. KPFF Seattle's Civil/Structural Team is composed primarily of structural engineers who design and evaluate infrastructure that connects communities. Our work spans a wide range of bridge and heavy-civil projects, including highway and pedestrian bridges, retaining walls, structures that support fish passage, ferry terminals, piers, wharves, and structural inspections. We take pride in our collaborative approach to consulting, partnering with clients across the industry, from small local agencies, to state transportation departments, to architects and contractors. Our team contributes to projects that range from feasibility studies, to new construction, to rehabilitation, to retrofits, always with a focus on technical excellence, environmental stewardship, and community impact. Located in downtown Seattle, our Civil/Structural team is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer with 4+ years of relevant experience. This role involves working on complex bridge projects from design through construction administration. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to project coordination and client interaction. Design single and multi-span bridges using engineering software. Apply advanced seismic design and soil-structure interaction principles. Perform load ratings for simple and complex bridges. Conduct inspections and field work. Supervise Designers and Drafters. Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports. Manage RFIs, submittals, and assist with change orders during construction. Review project scope and identify out-of-scope work. Monitor budgets and schedules. Interact with clients and subconsultants to maintain strong relationships. Provide feedback and mentor junior staff.
