Heavy Duty Mechanic

Requirements

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification (Red Seal preferred)
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
• Previous new equipment prep experience is an asset
• Experience with construction, forestry and mining equipment is an asset
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficial
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
• Important Details:
• This position is based out of Kamloops in the NEP team, on a 7x7 shift rotation
• A condition of employment may include the ability to wear a respirator
• Union Membership: This is a unionized position. Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire. Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.

Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
