Then you might be our new Prototype Engineer! ๐Ÿ” About the Role At JBT Marel, we are looking for a Prototype Engineer to join our Innovation Team in Aarhus . You will play a key role in turning ideas and concepts into functional prototypes, in close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and software-oriented colleagues. You report directly to our Innovation Manager and are responsible for the practical execution of prototype and testing activities in our Innovation Lab. The role combines hands-on work with technical insight and requires a high level of responsibility, structure, and collaboration. ๐Ÿง  What You'll Do Building, assembling, and adapting prototypes, test setups, and machine components Practical testing and adjustment of new machine and component solutions Participation in test processes, documentation of test results, and input for improvements Daily operation, maintenance, and safe use of test equipment and machines Installation, relocation, and connection of machines and test equipment in the Innovation Lab Ensuring order, safety, and quality in the Innovation Lab ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What You Bring The preferred candidate should possess a diverse educational background and/or relevant experience in manufacturing companies, service management, technical roles, process management, and customer support. Extensive knowledge of processes and IT is essential. If you are the right candidate, ideally you are a Marine Engineer with a practical/craft background and/or an Automation Technologist with a strong interest in mechanics and electrical systems. Experience as a service technician or from machinery manufacturing in industry would be great. Next to this, you recognize yourself in: Solid hands-on experience with machining (metal cutting and welding in stainless steel) Experience with manufacturing and assembling prototypes or machines Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and perform electrical connections Structured way of working and a strong sense of order and safety Good collaboration skills in cross-functional teams Fluent in Danish and comfortable in English (written and spoken) The ability for limited travel activity (approx. 5-10 days annually) We encourage each of our 12,500+ employees to bring their unique self to work and aim to make everyone feel recognized, valued and free to explore their potential.
