Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Position Summary The Production Supervisor leads the daily manufacturing operations in a complex machining manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, volume, and cost goals are met: plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and continuously recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and metrics achieved. Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides solutions to production problems. Aids in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance or downtime to minimize disruption to manufacturing schedules. Salary Range: 70k - 85k Start Date: April 1, 2026 Schedule: Onsite, Monday - Friday 7am - 4:00pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead/Supervise the manufacturing operations for a variety of machine tools, and/or assembly operations including, the activities of the shop floor, coordinating production schedules, and flexing of resource deployment. Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion. Supervise all assigned employee hiring and retention, performance review, and discipline. Manages department priorities and tracks absenteeism and timekeeping. Ensures effective employee relations; provides employee coaching and development; resolves employee issues through problem resolution. Maintains an ability to balance, achieve positive results and continuously improve in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and employee relations. Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provides regular progress reports to the manager. Performs accident/incident root cause investigations & solicits actions to prevent recurrence. Quality orientation and attention to detail plus an ability to manage multiple priorities and manage ambiguities. Leads & facilitates VOC (Voice of the Customer) quality discrepancy root cause investigations using 5 Why's, DMAIC or other lean tools and solicits actions to prevent recurrence. Education and Experience Requirements 3-5 years of Supervisory experience in Manufacturing. Supervisory experience in a Machining and Fabrication environment with high mix preferred.
