About the role

Cook Children's Medical Center and Healthcare System, based in Fort Worth, TX , has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Pediatric Hematologist to join our growing Hematology and Oncology Center. Currently, our 22 physicians and 15 nurse practitioners, as well as dedicated multi-disciplinary staff see approximately 300 new cancer cases annually and maintain a population of over 600 sickle cell syndrome patients. We are a designated Hemophilia Treatment Center. We have a very active outpatient practice and serve an expansive referral area including the Fort Worth Metro area, North Texas as well as East, Central and West Texas and the surrounding states. Our Hematology Oncology center is regularly active in clinical research in Oncology, Hematology fields, including involvement in several international pediatric stroke and thrombosis studies. Our center is an active member of Children's Oncology Group (COG) and has active collaborations with multiple academic institutions, Phase I consortiums and pharmaceutical companies. We are seeking an energetic BC/BE Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist with a strong base in General Hematology and a special interest in Hemophilia to fill this position. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
  • Unrestricted Texas Medical license (must obtain prior to start date).
  • Must have successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Medical Association (AMA) approved residency for pediatrics.
  • Board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • DEA Certificate.
  • American Heart Association BLS and PALS.
