About the role
The Senior Manager, Finance has leadership responsibilities and exposure to broad range of finance activities responsible for accounting, FP&A, tax, procurement, facilities and administration. The Senior Manager, Finance will be responsible for managing many of the day-to-day activities of finance. This role serves as key liaison between corporate finance, procurement, administration and India service center. The Senior Manager of Finance will oversee the finance operations of our India Service Center (ISC). This is a leadership role responsible for a wide range of functions including budgeting, banking, procurement, accounting, tax compliance, and local vendor management. The ideal candidate will act as a key business partner to our US-based corporate teams, ensuring seamless financial management, regulatory compliance, and efficient site operations. This role requires a hands-on leader with the ability to manage both internal cross function company relationships along with external company relationships with banks, auditors, and government agencies. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting and finance services for ISC, working effectively with Corporate Accounting, Business Units and third party accountants. Serve as the primary Business Partner to the Corporate FP&A team for the creation and management of ISC site budget and forecast, including Capitalized and Non-Capitalized Labor. Conduct rigorous monthly tracking of actual spend against budget and deliver detailed variance analysis. Serve as point of contact for external audit and tax partners (e.g., Deloitte, PwC). Work with third party accountants to ensure compliance with India tax regulations, including GST, NSTPI, IEC, ICEGATE, and TDS. Work with third-party accountants to manage tax-related filings, registrations and correspondence. Manage India banking relationships and activities, including the opening, modification, and closing of bank accounts. Oversee banking facilities and work with bankers to manage foreign currency inward remittances and ensure smooth transactions. Collaborate with US Legal, HR, and Procurement on India vendor contract reviews. Oversee local vendor management for all site operations, including IT infrastructure, training, recruitment, travel, and logistics Manage the issuance of purchase orders and the employee corporate credit card program. Hold signing authority for operational documents, including intercompany agreements, cost reimbursement agreements, and leases. Oversee India office and facilities in partnership with the U.S. Real Estate team. In partnership with the company secretary, prepare and add agenda items for Inovalon India board meetings. Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed. Maintain compliance with lnovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement. Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within lnovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position. Requirements
- 10+ Years of progressive experience and responsibility in accounting and/or FP&A Required
- 2+ Years supervisory experience
- 2+ Years FP&A experience Preferred
- Demonstrate experience in a similar sized, matrixed organization Required
- Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen in several areas including accounting, reporting, tax compliance, forecasting and analysis
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and Forecasting applications (Hyperion preferred).
- Advanced experience with MS Office suite, including excellent Excel skills (complex formulas, Pivot Tables, modeling).
- Ability to maintain organization, meet deadlines, handle confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and great attention to detail.
- Demonstrate ability to think outside of the box, challenge the status quo and drive change.
- Flexible, ability to work well under pressure and independently with limited direction.
