General Description: Responsible for performing essential functions to support schools and facilities by resolving complex employee relations issues. Complex work is performed within specific departmental objectives and policies; employee works independently and coordinates with others as necessary. Essential Job Functions: Leads investigations of employee relations issues and produces cogent reports; provides support in a variety of other employee relations situations Plans sequence of investigations, conducts interviews utilizing neutral, fact-finding techniques Communicates outcomes of investigations as necessary Proposes refinements to standard operating procedures for investigations as needed May coordinate with CCPS safety and security, law enforcement, and Child Protective Services as necessary May conduct, coordinate or review employee investigations related to allegations of harassment and discrimination Participates in the management of matters related to EEOC complaints in coordination with supervisors and legal counsel Works with administrators and employees in the identification and resolution of personnel issues and complaints; review recommendations for employee disciplinary actions, including suspension, demotions, promotions and terminations. May assist in the development and implementation of training materials to inform and educate employees and supervisors Collaborates with supervisors and legal counsel to resolve complex labor relations matters Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws and school board policies Performs other related duties as assigned.
