NOC Engineer - 12 months Agency contract - Roaming

About the role

Key Business Objective: Provide support to Network Operations for the maintenance and operation of the GCX PoPs in Singapore. Carry out installation of equipment, provision customer and network circuits and fault finding / clearance. As a secondary role to support the regional Sales team with sales support and technical advice on existing services and new opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and upgrade on the PoP equipment according to the system specifications and requirements. Manage the Singapore POPs, inventory, spares, etc. in well-organized manner and support the local / international delivery of equipment. Work with Provisioning / Engineering / NOC / Project personnel in resolving problems related to circuit turn-up, provisioning and migration of the point of interconnection. Initiate referrals to the NOC or Engineering when unable to resolve technical problems and project with due date in jeopardy. Interface with Business Units in resolving common discrepancies discovered on post-install issues; log punch / snag list items and inform supervisor of the progress. Make recommendations, observations relative to work group related processes, maintenance / fault management and installation guidelines, etc Self-administrate daily on assigned tasks, work logs and report work progress. Keep current on technologies and safety work practices. Contact with Others: Internal: All GNOC staffs, Field Operations, Sales, Project Teams, Engineering External: Capacity Suppliers, Equipment Vendors, Customers, Facilities Suppliers, Local Contractors and Shippers Educational / Academic / Qualifications: Higher Diploma or above in Telecommunication / Engineering or similar disciplines 5+ Years of relevant experience including at least 12 months being as a Field Service Engineer and Support Working experience with Data Centre / Telecom Operators Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of (E) SDH, (E) DWDM, (E) OTN, (E) Ethernet, (E) IP We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
